University Overview
Taiyuan University of Technology is a century-old institution with a 115-year history. It is a comprehensive university focusing on engineering, integrated with science, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.
It is a key university of the national 211 Project, one of the first pilot universities of the Outstanding Engineers Training Program of the Ministry of Education, and an implementation university of the national College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. On September 20, 2017, the university was selected into the list of national Double First-Class construction universities and disciplines.
School Overview
School of Integrated Circuits, Taiyuan University of Technology was established in July 2024. Its predecessor can be traced back to the Department of Radio Engineering, Taiyuan Institute of Technology founded in 1958.
Aligning with national strategic demands for science and technology development, the school serves the national electronics industry and local economic development of Shanxi, conducting research and training engineering talents in strategic emerging fields including micro-nano electronic devices, biomedical engineering, and artificial intelligence.
The school has a complete talent training system covering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in microelectronics and integrated circuit engineering. It owns:

2 undergraduate majors: Electronic Science and Technology, Integrated Circuit Design and Integrated System
Electronic Science and Technology evolved from the Shanxi Provincial Key Discipline Circuits and Systems. The undergraduate major was officially established in 2012, approved as a construction site of Shanxi Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Major in 2019, selected into the Discipline Group Construction Plan for Industrial Innovation as a main discipline in 2020, and approved as a construction site of National First-Class Undergraduate Major in 2022.
In recent years, the school has won 1 Special Prize of Shanxi Provincial Teaching Achievement and 2 Shanxi Provincial First-Class Courses.
Laboratory Overview
Shanxi Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Micro-Nano Sensing was founded in 2010, formerly known as the Micro-Nano System Research Center of Taiyuan University of Technology. It was approved as a provincial key laboratory in 2021.
The core team has 33 members all with doctoral degrees, over 70% with overseas study or visiting experience. It includes:

Undergraduate, master’s and doctoral disciplines/majors shall be consistent or closely related.
Age: under 35 years old; outstanding postdoctoral candidates under 38 years old.
Doctoral discipline shall match or be closely related to the recruited position.
